Most of you will know lastminute.com - operated as you MAY NOT KNOW by SUNWAY HOLIDAYS - well there's a much better and CHEAPER alternative by an IRISh company http//:www.travelrepublic.ie called TRAVEL REPUBLIC, a very honest view of hoilday sites and at a much cheaper rate than some are offering on the NET - Trust a mother who's tried them all!!!

Buying Cook Books - Only Time NOT TO GO IRISH

I would always advise  to buy IRISH - but in the instance of buying books I would advise amazon.co.uk, much cheaper unfortunately and they have a much better selection - this is one of the few times I would advise AGAINST buyin Irish!!!

The Best Yogurt Dip - EVER

I have a friend - Suzanne - who is simply the best cook I've ever met - she made this dip from the Barefoot Contessa Book last weekend and we simply went week at the knees - even the 18yr olds boys (whose birthday party we were celebrating) were hogging the celery and carrots just to have a DIP!!

A day without laundry

I'm ridiculously thinkin of proposing 1 day a year when Men do the Washing - i.e. Learn to understand the washing machine, figure out how to separate and place clothes in that TARDIS of a thing that they seem so afraid of? Mothers Day would be sooooooooooooooooo fantastic if they could combine the two!!! So here's the thing - lets pick a day that we think would benefit and make it happen - alot of other ridiculous days happen without as much thought!!! I'd like to call it MAN MACH DAY  -(my way of making them feel powerful by using a machine that has been otherwise abstract to them)! Maybe we cud one day - in years to come  - extend it to the DISHWASHER - but let's not get too cocky!
